Meet Barrett Edwin Carver
Barrett Edwin Carver was a joyful, loving, and spirited little boy whose smile could light up any room. His laughter was contagious, his hugs were fierce, and his heart overflowed with love for everyone he met.

On June 25, 2021, Barrett was diagnosed with a hypothalamic glioma. Just days later, he began his first round of chemotherapy with courage beyond his years. Through every hospital stay and long day of treatment, Barrett met each challenge with bravery, grace, and that unforgettable smile.
When his journey turned to hospice care on February 3, 2023, Barrett continued to inspire everyone around him — showing us all what true strength looks like.
Barrett shared an inseparable bond with his big brother, Calyx, who is two years older.
From the moment Calyx found out he’d be a big brother, he couldn’t wait to meet “his baby.” Together they filled their days with laughter, adventures, and endless love.
Calyx gave Barrett the most beautiful childhood imaginable — one filled with play, comfort, and joy.
From the time Barrett could talk, he made sure everyone knew how loved they were. He adored giving “sugars” (kisses), “getting your giggles” (laughs), and reminding everyone, “You make my heart so happy.”
Those simple, tender words capture exactly who Barrett was — a boy whose heart shined so brightly that it continues to touch lives today.
Though Barrett’s time here was far too short, his love continues to ripple outward — touching every child and family served through Barrett’s Blessings.
His spirit guides our mission every day to bring hope, comfort, and connection to families walking their own difficult road.
Barrett’s light will forever remind us that love is the most powerful healing of all.
