Pick a Date to Donate
From March 9 to April 9, 2025, Barrett’s Blessings hosted our first annual Pick a Date to Donate fundraiser in honor of the anniversary of Barrett’s passing.
Supporters chose a day of the month, and their donation matched the date — for example, March 9 meant a $9 gift, March 15 meant $15.
All funds went directly toward creating comfort baskets for pediatric patients and families at Haven Hospice. This simple, meaningful campaign turned small daily gifts into lasting impact, bringing light and love to families in need while honoring Barrett’s memory.
Comfort Baskets for Haven Hospice
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Barrett’s Blessings created and delivered comfort baskets for families with pediatric patients at Haven Hospice. Each basket was carefully curated by Amber and Eric, drawing from their own experiences at Haven, to provide both practical necessities and small touches of love.
The baskets included personal care items, gift cards, a cozy blanket, a “B”ee Lovey, and even windchimes in honor of Barrett. In addition, we provided snacks for the nursing staff and donated six Amazon Fire Sticks for patients to use during their stay.
These baskets are a simple but powerful way to bring comfort, dignity, and warmth to families walking through incredibly difficult moments. And this is just the beginning — more baskets are already being prepared for future families.
Mini-Sessions with Brianna Faye Photography
In a beautiful show of community support, local photographer Brianna Faye generously offered mini-photo sessions — with 100% of proceeds going directly to Barrett’s Blessings.
Families could book a session for portraits, maternity, couples, seniors, or personal photos, knowing that their memories captured would also help bring comfort and hope to children and families facing pediatric cancer.
This collaboration not only raised funds for our mission but also reflected the power of partnerships — when talents are shared with love, they create lasting impact.
The Million Mile with Alex’s Lemonade Stand
Each September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Barrett’s Blessings proudly joins forces with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for The Million Mile. This nationwide event unites individuals and teams to walk, run, and raise money for pediatric cancer research.
In honor of Barrett, our community laces up, logs miles, and dedicates every step to children and families facing cancer. Beyond raising critical funds, The Million Mile spreads awareness and builds solidarity, reminding families they are never alone in the fight.
This annual tradition has become one of our most meaningful ways to carry Barrett’s legacy forward — one mile, one dollar, and one act of love at a time.
